| Pinocchip Applique & Embroidery Pattern $14.00 |
|
| Here I have a photocopy of a vintage
Pinocchio quit pattern. This darling quilt was probably originated sometime
after the character began to show up in children’s books and movies. There are
24 twelve inch blocks in the quilt, set alternately with a print block (the
black and white photo included could have been sharper, but is the only one
available). The characters of Geppetto, the Cricket, the Fairy, Lampwick, the
Fisherman, and Pinocchio from a puppet to a real boy, are all worked in applique
with touches of embroidery.
There are color suggestions in this
patterns.
This could easily be enlarged (using
fewer blocks), have a sashing added, or be stitched in today’s contemporary
fabrics. It would also work well entirely embroider the images in
redwork.
These can be easily be
traced on your block fabric with a water erasable
pen.

| 1940's Orchid quilt top pattern $12.00 |
|
|
From a 1940’s Lee Wards quilt kit
is a pattern designed from an appliqué Orchid blocks quilt, 72”x72”, for a
full-size bed. These are 18” blocks, all alike, to be set 4 across and 4 down.
The central Orchid is appliquéd in solid shades of lavender with green leaves-
surrounding these are embroidered Orchids on each block corner and a border..
This could easily be updated with pretty prints in today’s fabrics, coloring
each block differently. And, embroidered in redwork. I apologize for the lack of
definition in the original old blocks – They’re almost faded away.
This is not a kit – it is a
pattern adapted from one and is complete except for the background and appliqué
fabrics. Originally made in solid lavenders with green leaves. I’m showing the
central orchid totally updated with today’s fabrics.
You will receive:
-
1.
Complete pattern with instructions
2. Color card for fabrics used

| Magic Vine Applique Pattern Nancy Page $18.00 |
|
| From the
Nancy Page quilt club is a photo copy of her 1930’s Magic Vine Appliqued quilt
pattern. Finished measurements are 90x108; it could be made larger by enlarging
the background blocks, borders or the leaf border around the outside (included
in instructions).
All of the
blocks were copied directly from the original patterns that were clipped from
the farm newspapers and were part of a dear friends grandmother’s collection.
Mouse chewed, these were almost not retrieved, so I redrew the blocks to assure
accuracy. I also rewrote instructions, added a layout sheet with measurements,
and several color photos of quilts either finished or in progress. This has 4
bouquet vines, with 2 vine repeats and a leafe vine all around the
outside.
