Pinocchip Applique & Embroidery Pattern $14.00

Here I have a photocopy of a vintage Pinocchio quit pattern. This darling quilt was probably originated sometime after the character began to show up in children’s books and movies. There are 24 twelve inch blocks in the quilt, set alternately with a print block (the black and white photo included could have been sharper, but is the only one available). The characters of Geppetto, the Cricket, the Fairy, Lampwick, the Fisherman, and Pinocchio from a puppet to a real boy, are all worked in applique with touches of embroidery.

There are color suggestions in this patterns.

This could easily be enlarged (using fewer blocks), have a sashing added, or be stitched in today’s contemporary fabrics. It would also work well entirely embroider the images in redwork.

These can be easily be traced on your block fabric with a water erasable pen.

Apple Blossom Applique Quilt Pattern $30.00

From a 1930’s quilt kit is a pattern for a vintage appliqué Apple Blossom quilt, 96”x80”. The complete and original old kits are becoming quite rate and costly. This is not a kit - it is a pattern adapted from one and is complete except for the background and appliqué fabrics. Originally put out by Paragon, this has an oriental look in an allover pattern – lots of stems and flowers. The colors are brown in the branches and four pinks in the flowers and buds with a green inside frame.

You will receive:

  •       Complete rewritten instructions
  •         Materials list
  •          Photographs of a finished quilt in color
  •          All appliqué templates sets for each color sued
  •         A color chart for approximate fabric colors used in the original
  •          Diagrams for the layout of all the pieces, Complete with measurements and all quilting patterns. Mostly done on large 11x17 sheets.
  • Complete top pattern (originally stamped on the quilt top) for all of the branches and flower sets and quilting, reduced 50% to be enlarged by 200% and traced on the quilt top with a transfer pencil or water erasable pen.

Martindale 1933 quilt pattern $14.00

Originally credited to the Martindale family c. 1840, this quilt was a 1933 remake and gift of Charlotte Whitehill to the Denver Art Museum. This was a combination of printed 1930’s cottons set on white with a lovely trapunto quilting pattern and would be great uing today’s repro fabrics. The finished quilt is 84”x84”.

You will receive:

  •    Complete written instructions
  •     Materials list
  •      Numerous scans of the original quilt photo with closeups in black and white.
  •     A color photo and complete history of the original quilt

1940's Orchid quilt top pattern $12.00

From a 1940’s Lee Wards quilt kit is a pattern designed from an appliqué Orchid blocks quilt, 72”x72”, for a full-size bed. These are 18” blocks, all alike, to be set 4 across and 4 down. The central Orchid is appliquéd in solid shades of lavender with green leaves- surrounding these are embroidered Orchids on each block corner and a border.. This could easily be updated with pretty prints in today’s fabrics, coloring each block differently. And, embroidered in redwork. I apologize for the lack of definition in the original old blocks – They’re almost faded away.

This is not a kit – it is a pattern adapted from one and is complete except for the background and appliqué fabrics. Originally made in solid lavenders with green leaves. I’m showing the central orchid totally updated with today’s fabrics.

You will receive:

  • 1.   Complete pattern with instructions

    2. Color card for fabrics used

Wild Flower Wreath Applique quilt Pattern $25.00

From a 1937 quilt kit is a pattern for a vintage Wildflower Wreath Quilt, 81”x94”, for a full sized bed. The original old kits are become scarce and they are costly. This is not a kit – it is a pattern adapted from one and is complete except for the fabrics. The photo that came with this kit was in black and white, so with it will be a color photo of the completed wreath. This was started and set aside almost 70 years ago but still has the bright shades of reds, blues and yellows

You will receive:

  • Complete rewritten instructions
  •  Materials list
  •   Photo of the quilt and a color photo of the finished wreath.
  •   Pattern template sets for each appliqué color used in the quilt
  •   Color chart for approximate colors used in the original
  • Full size quilting patterns for the corner and side motifs, a repeat of the flowers that are in the wreath with one pattern for the corners and a separate for the sides and ends.
  •    Full size pattern for wreath (this is repeated 12 times for the quilt – turned in different directions) on 2 pages.

The Patterns that contain the quilt top appliqué and the quilting lines from the horizontal center to the bottom, are Reduced 50% to be enlarged by 200%. Reversed, this is the top half of the quilt and provides the entire pattern for the quilt top. Pretty quilting around the wreaths, with diamonds and feathers.

Magic Vine Applique Pattern Nancy Page $18.00

From the Nancy Page quilt club is a photo copy of her 1930’s Magic Vine Appliqued quilt pattern. Finished measurements are 90x108; it could be made larger by enlarging the background blocks, borders or the leaf border around the outside (included in instructions).

All of the blocks were copied directly from the original patterns that were clipped from the farm newspapers and were part of a dear friends grandmother’s collection. Mouse chewed, these were almost not retrieved, so I redrew the blocks to assure accuracy. I also rewrote instructions, added a layout sheet with measurements, and several color photos of quilts either finished or in progress. This has 4 bouquet vines, with 2 vine repeats and a leafe vine all around the outside.
